Workshop, Part 1:Designing for Community AI Integration (Hands-On)
Thursday April 9, 2026 1:30pm - 2:15pm CDT
This session is part reflection, part imagination lab. Together, we’ll gather the threads of the day including what sparked excitement, what raised concern, what lingered as curiosity, and what calls for responsibility. Using Human-Centered Design practices, educators will move from insight to action, co-designing commitments that feel both meaningful and doable. The goal isn’t perfection but rather thoughtful momentum toward AI integration that reflects the values, needs, and humanity of your school community.

Visit a few teams, explore their solution, and offer short, constructive feedback to help them improve before final pitches. Your role is to react like a real user: what’s clear, what’s confusing, and what would make this more useful in a school setting?
