Attending this presentation will provide a quick overview of AI Literacy to be shared with students as young as second grade and guided practice in app smashing Adobe Express and Book Creator.  You will learn how to easily generate AI images using Adobe Express and add that creativity in Book Creator.

Join BCPS as they share their 5-year journey to integrate AI and Data Science not only into CS curriculum but also into core content areas. Discussion will include how this journey now aligns with the new FL CS Standards.

This session will ariticulate our approach to priortizing our Profile of a North Salem Graduate with a focus on critical thinking and how AI may or may not be used to support teaching and learning via differention and universal design for learning.  We will model how we use our teacher resource toolkit to achieve our instructional goals.

This interactive session explores how generative AI can be introduced in elementary classrooms through age-appropriate, hands-on activities grounded in core AI literacy concepts: understanding what AI is, using it effectively, and evaluating its outputs critically. Participants will leave with ready-to-use examples, a clear developmental progression for elementary grades, and practical strategies for integrating AI into everyday learning.
